Sports Mason Mount kindly buys multiple Vitesse season tickets for Dutch health workers😍
Mason Mount has been praised by his former club Vitesse for buying season tickets for health workers who cannot afford them.
The Chelsea star joined Vyacheslav Karavaev, Eduardo and Louis Laros – four of the club's former players – in making the generous act as a way of thanks for those who put their lives on the line.
Mount spent a year on loan at the Eredivisie side in the 2017-18 season, with the club a popular destination for Chelsea's academy stars.
In a way to pay it back to the club where he made 39 appearances, Mount made the brilliant gesture so supporters could attend games once fans are allowed back in the stadiums.
'The support of our (former) players is great!' Vitesse tweeted on Monday. 'Also @masonmount_10, Vyacheslav Karavaev, @Lowietje73 and Eduardo purchase season tickets!
'They make supporters and care workers happy who are unable to purchase season tickets themselves.'
Mount impressed while on loan at the Dutch club, scoring 13 goals and assisting his team-mates 10 times in the 39 games he played in Holland.
His development at Vitesse eventually saw him end up at Derby on loan, where he shone under Frank Lampard's stewardship.
The pair are now back at Chelsea, where Mount and Lampard are both flourishing this season as the Blues look to lock down a spot in the Champions League next season.
