How V.A.R is killing the excitement of the premier league.

The video assistant referee is a match official in association football who reviews decisions made by the head referee. Following extensive trialling in a number of major competitions, VAR was first written into the Laws of the Game by the International Football Association Board in 2018. According to research V.A.R uses most of the Corner kicks — about 3 minutes 57 secs, Goal kicks — about 5 minutes 46 secs, Free kicks — about 8 minutes 51 secs Throw-ins — about 7 minutes 2 secs, Making substitutions — about 2 minutes 57 secs  , wasting all This time in just checking is really frustrating.   Money ; the premier league will have to pay $6.2 million per year just to use it.

About 5.5% of VAR matches required two or more review,Only 53 of the matches, which equals to 5.5% of the total games, required more than one review. While such figures question the importance of the system, even a single decision can impact the game. The report suggests that technology has a decisive or huge impact in about 9% of football matches. In addition to this, about 25% of matches saw a positive impact.

Although, It helps the premier league to detect , fouls; it help them to detect little little fouls , like drawing or misconduct. Since the advent of the VAR , the premier league has been on the slow, wasting too much time to make decisions and rendering the referee and assistance referee helpless , they can't do what they want, they would have to conduct the V.A.R. for it to be perfect In the premier league,it has to go through a lot of reviews and the communication should be a little bit faster .
