Sports Valencia 'want Chelsea's Kepa on 2-year loan deal' which may open up Onana

Valencia are considering signing Chelsea's first-choice goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga on a two-year loan deal.

The LaLiga club want to sign the Spaniard as a replacement for current keeper Jasper Cillessen - who is linked with a summer exit.

If Valencia can strike a deal with the Premier League side, it is likely to also have an option to buy clause after the two-year loan spell, according to Marca.

The approach from Valencia could be part of a much larger swap deal, which would see Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana join Chelsea and Cillessen replace Onana at Ajax.

Onana has impressed with the Eredivisie side as Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in acquiring the 24-year-old stopper.

Kepa joined the Blues for a world-record fee of £72million for a goalkeeper, as he joined from Athletic Bilbao. He quickly established himself as the number one at Stamford Bridge after he replaced Thibaut Courtois, who left for Real Madrid.

The Spaniard's future at the club has been in doubt since the turn of the year, as he was dropped for 38-year-old back-up goalkeeper Willy Cabellero.

The Argentine was between the sticks for crucial matches against Manchester United, Tottenham and Bayern Munich.

Whilst Kepa has won his place back in Frank Lampard's side, doubts still loom over his future at the club.

It has been reported that the goalkeeper now wishes to leave London in search of more minutes as he fights for his place in the Spain national team ahead of the Euros next summer.
