Rasicm : A virus that may exist in the heart of millions
Despite the progress in science and technology , Racial abuse has been on the increase , it reamians a source of distruction.
Rasicm is prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized. It can also be called racial discrimination, Which is the belief that different races possess distinct characteristics, abilities, or qualities, especially so as to distinguish them as inferior or superior to one another. According to Eugene Ionesco she said " ideology seperates us dreams and anguish bring us together."
Acoording to research In New York City, 88% of police stops in 2018 involved Black and Latinx people, while 10% involved white people. (Of those stops, 70% were completely innocent.) In the early 90's we all can remember Diallo a guinea immigrant who was shot by The America Police in America, which lead to a global protest then , and also Just recent George Flyod a black who man was killed by Mineaopolice in U.S.A , which currently the world is figthing against it.
The virus racism may exist in the hearts and minds of millions around the world but when racism i acted upon, especially by a group of people, things don't just become dangerous, they become deadly. Over 62 million people has been abused in the past few years.
It is very Important to note that we all need each other . According to Anita Koddick she said "If you think you’re too small to have an impact, try going to bed with a mosquito in the room". A Yoruba maxism will say " kà fî ówó wé wó, ní ówó fín mó" meaning ( for you to have a clean palm , you must use the to palms). We really need each other if we really want to grow, a particular skin colour, culture or race cannot have everything.
We can really get rid or reduce it when , White people and non-black people of colour undertake conscious action and education to combat the problem. And stand up and speak against it ; people from far and near should stand up and speak against it ,since it is tearing us apart. For instance as it is done all over the world for Diallo and George Floyd, and other Black or whites who have suffered. political engagement; if it is a white country they should allow a black be a part of thier political party, they should allow them engage more, and also same to the blacks, so as to let the The growing children's know it's normal.
Let's make Martin Luther King Jr dream come to pass "I have a dream that one day little black boys and girls will be holding hands with little white boys and girls"
Let's try and get off the mentally that ones skin colour, culture , race is greater than the other , let's embrace our selves and get rid of this Virus (Rasicm), and make the World a better place. “An eye for an eye makes the world blind.” According to Mahatma Gandhi , we can't just focus on doing bad to a certain skin color, culture race which we did not or cannot create, and also not call them names . Let's work together and make the world a better place.
