Urbanization affects us all- Umar Yakubu

   People don''t want to live in a place where there is no basic amenities, good water ,no shelter .the rural area are not preveledge to social and economic benefits . We are all in search of a greener pastures and a better life . We tend to leave the rural area and forget to come back to develop them. It allows the city to grow and the rural area to diminish. Urbanization is a blessing in disguise, it affects us all

Urbanization refers to the increasing number of people that live in urban areas. It describes both increase in percentage of population that lives in the cities as well as the increase in the sizes of those cities, urbanization is also the shift of people from the rural area to the urban area. According U.N.O. 58% of world population lives in urban areas , and it is predicted that by 2050 about 65% of developing world and 80% of developed world would be urbanized.

Urbanization are caused due to lack of resources in rural areas;there are not available resources to live your life in rural areas. Believe the standard of living would be better in urban areas; the rural believes that there would have a better life in urban area. Absolute Poverty; the rate of poverty in rural area is very alarming and there all need to go find greener pastures and a better life. Rises in the factories and the growing of urban population create more jobs , hospital, e.t.c

Urbanized cities are efficient in supply of basic amenities i.e electricities , water, shelter, hospitals  there all migrate because it is difficult to access that I'm rural areas.

Urbanization lead to Overpopulation; the rate of people migrating from rural areas to urban areas are many, e.g Lagos has over 21 million individuals (2020) , Sao Paulo has 12.18 million(2019) London 8.983 million(2020) Cairo  9.5 million (2018) people tent to leave thier villages to the cities for search of breakthrough. Crime and corruption; The crime rate in urban area is on the increase , one there are too many people staying in a place, people tent to steal from the Marxist. Lower income; the higher the population the lower the income, they reduce salaries of workers since there know people are many seeking for jobs . Housing problems; the houses are not enough for people to stay , there now stay in slums. Affects Agricultural product; The farmers in the villages has nobody to help them, the old men, old women and kids can't do it all by theirselves, there need workers .

The government should invest more in rural areas and agriculture, we can't survive without it , provide the rural areas with adequate basic amenities. And also the rich men should come back to develop the rural areas , an adage says "AJó ó dábí ílé" meaning "No place like home ".
