Valencia want to sign Chelsea's out-of-favour goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga on loan, according to reports.

The Spain international is viewed as an ideal replacement for Jasper Cillessen, who is being linked with a move away from the Mestalla in the summer window after a tough campaign.

Valencia-based outlet Plaza Deportiva suggest that Cillessen may return to his former club Ajax.

And now Mundo Deportivo claim that Kepa is the target to replace the Dutch stopper if he does depart.

That would also involve Chelsea moving for Ajax's Andre Onana in the window before letting Kepa leave on a season-long loan.

The 25-year-old joined the Stamford Bridge side in summer 2018, replacing Thibaut Courtois, becoming the world's most expensive goalkeeper in the process after a £71million move.

But he has fallen out of favour under Frank Lampard, with Willy Caballero playing in matches against Leicester, Manchester United, Tottenham and Bayern Munich prior to the coronavirus shutdown.

Kepa will be keen to get minutes in next season as he looks to supplant David De Gea as Spain's first-choice.

While he has regularly played ahead of the Manchester United man, it is crucial to Kepa that he gets in game-time before the 2021 European Championships.
