Souness: Liverpool could regret not signing striker
Graeme Souness says he worries Liverpool could regret it if they do not sign another striker this summer.
The Reds seemingly passed on Timo Werner, but got another reminder of the drop off in quality when one of their star front three doesn't play as Divock Origi disappointed before being substituted in this afternoon's clash with Aston Villa.
“When you don’t play one of that front three, [going] to Origi it is a fair drop in quality and they might live to regret that," Souness said on Sky Sports.
“I’m hope I’m wrong and they end up buying someone to fill that gap when one of those three don’t play.
“But that’s what you’re seeing tonight. Firmino links everything from back to front and they are missing that.”
