De Gea confident over No1 spot
David de Gea is confident of starting in Manchester United's crunch match against West Ham United tonight, according to The Times.
De Gea shipped two soft goals in Sunday's FA Cup semi-final defeat to Chelsea and is now facing renewed questions over his Old Trafford future.
But the Spaniard believes he has Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's backing despite the manager refusing to confirm his starting goalkeeper for the West Ham game.
The United boss said: "I don't want to talk about it. We stick together as a group. He's proven before that he's mentally strong. We'll stay together and we'll see the team on Wednesday night."
