Manchester United are considering a move for Barcelona winger Ansu Fati as a back-up option to Jadon Sancho, report Diario Sport. 

United were also linked with Fati earlier in the year but, according to ESPN, their interest was immediately knocked back by Barcelona. 

The 17-year-old now has a release clause in the region of £150million in his contract, which would make him a more expensive option than Sancho. 

Meanwhile, Standard Sport understands United remain desperate to conclude a deal, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer having no real alternative in his mind. 

Essentially, this one is perhaps not likely to come to fruition.
