Chelsea are reportedly ready to take the latest step in their busy summer transfer planning.

With deals for Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, Ben Chilwell, Malang Sarr and Thiago Silva already wrapped up, the Blues are also expecting to complete the signing of Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz over the coming weeks.

But there is still room for other additions, with The Sun reporting that Chelsea are now ready to table an official offer for West Ham's Declan Rice.

Rice is known to be one of Frank Lampard's top targets, though David Moyes previously warned that it would take "Bank of England money" to prise the £80m-rated Three Lions international away from London Stadium.

Can Chelsea successfully negotiate a discount, as they did with Leicester for Chilwell?
