No cash boost for Liverpool
Liverpool do not stand to earn a cash injection after Philippe Coutinho won the Champions League with loan club Bayern Munich on Sunday night.
The Reds sold Coutinho to Barcelona for an initial £106million deal in 2018, with various performance-related add-ons due to take the value of the deal past £140million.
The Echo reports that just £4.4million of that total is yet to be paid. The final instalment will be paid when certain appearance-based milestones are met, meaning Liverpool will not receive a boost to their kitty from Coutinho's triumph on the grandest stage.
